2018 Miami Heat Season Start

Twelve games into the season and our record is 5 wins and 7 losses. Currently the Heat are residing in 7th place, on a two game losing streak looking to extend it to end tomorrow night verses the Brooklyn Nets.

So far this year, the Heat have lost three games within five points and have won 5 games within ten. Our leading scorer has been Josh Richardson who is looking to have a breakout year, averaging over 20 points per game. On top of this, we have a healthy and competitive Hassan Whiteside who is in the top 5 league leaders for rebounds and blocks averaging 15.2 and 3.4 respectively. Another young player doing damage is Justice Winslow who’s been averaging 13 points, 7 rebounds, and just over 5 assists in the last three games. Despite lacking the soft touch for a good shot, he has found himself useful in taking over the point guard position while Dion Waiters and Goran Dragic have been gone. Dragic was out due to a minor right knee swell and he expects to be back by tonight. In the next two weeks, the Heat will face off against the 76ers for the first time since the playoffs last year, the new look Lebron Lakers, the Kawhi Leonard Raptors and much more.

Other things to look forward to is the new Black Miami Vice look. Last season the Heat released white Miami Vice themed jerseys, but this year they have a whole new court to go along with the new black themed jerseys. They were released last night and midnight and will make their debut this weekend.
