CCNN Live Wins Two More Emmys

Today, the Suncoast Emmy Awards awarded CCNN Live with two Emmys. CCNN Live won the award for Graphics for the work of senior Steven Guas and for Sports Feature for the efforts of seniors Matthew Ley, Jose Companioni, Esteban Larranaga, and junior David Perez. Last year, CCNN Live won its first Emmy, also for Graphics.

The Suncoast Emmy is a regional award given by the National Academy of Arts and Sciences (NATAS), the same group that has been awarding the famous Primetime Emmys since 1949. The Suncoast region includes all of Florida, parts of Georgia, Alabama, and Louisiana, and Puerto Rico.

Over 8,000 entries are received for regional Emmys nationwide and less than 10% of the entries are recognized. The Emmy is the only award; there is no second or third prizes.

Congratulations to the students and to Mr. Delgado, Mrs. Hidalgo, and Mrs. Cedeno.
