Columbus Honors Victims of Parkland Shooting
One month to the day of the shooting at Parkland High School, Columbus honored the memory of 17 victims. The student designed and led ceremony included a Gospel reading and a student written speech encouraging all students to make their voices heard when they are hold enough to exercise their right to vote. A candle was lit for each victim as the names were read aloud. “Taps” was played by Gregg Joa. The students who organized the ceremony are Alex Perite, Angel Toro, Matthew Manning, and Brandon Caminski.
