Explorers Baseball Win the 2018 District Championship

Yesterday, the Columbus Explorers took on their district rival the Southwest Eagles and a showdown for bragging rights in the district. The Explorers demolished the Eagles by a final score of 12-0. Senior Chris Bohrer earned the win for the Explorers going 6 innings and allowing just 4 hits while striking out 5 Eagles hitters. As well as a dominant pitching performance, Bohrer had 3 hits on the day. Freshman Ariel Garcia also had 3 hits as well as 2 RBI’s. Senior Seba Serralta and junior Albert Espinosa also propelled the Explorers lineup adding 2 hits to the mix too. The Explorers look to keep moving forward in the playoffs as they face the Coral Reef Barracudas in Regionals on Tuesday at home.
