Key Club Shines in Orlando

By Mr. Chacon

This past weekend eight students represented the Christopher Columbus High School Key Club at the Florida District Convention in Orlando.  This year we were honored once again with the Governor’s Citation for Service.  The Key Club was also named a Distinguished Club and several of the officers were awarded as well.

Andrew Castro – Distinguished Club President
Thomas Mackle – Distinguished Club Secretary
Javier Lopez – Distinguished Club Treasurer
Ricardo Avila – Distinguished Class Director
Daniel Aquino Cano – Distinguished Club Member

The Club also won third place in its division for its Single Service Project.

Please congratulate the boys if you see them.

A special thank you goes out to Fernando Machado for all of his hard work dedication, and to Br. Eladio who has always been our service mentor.  I would also like to thank the Columbus family for their continued support.  We couldn’t have done this with out your commitment to service. We will continue to serve our school and community to the best of our abilities.

Adelante!!!
